Banksia Montessori School celebrated it’s 40th Anniversary on Friday 21st October.
Families were invited to a catered morning tea on the school grounds. The children performed a song and the current school Principal, Rance delivered a speech. Rance shared a history of the school, with mention of Ex-Principal Emelinda Stephen’s time at the school. Banksia was honoured to have ‘Emmy’, who ran the school for 22 years, attend the event. Rance also acknowledged teacher Razina’s 10 year employment at Banksia.
Ex students of Banksia made balloon animals for the children and the school council arranged outdoor toys and activities. A coffee van provided refreshments and families were gifted a commemorative tea-towel and cookie for the event.
The day was filled with sunshine and happy faces.
