Harmony Day 2019
On Thursday the 21st March 2019, Banksia Montessori celebrated Harmony Day.
Harmony Day is an important event as it brings together students, staff and parents to celebrate all of the wonderful cultures that make up our school.
Children dressed in their national costumes and parents brought in items for display, representing their ‘home’ country, giving the school community an opportunity to learn about one another’s traditions.
Families brought in cultural dishes to share, and everyone savoured the amazing and delicious variety of foods. We certainly have some wonderfully talented parents and grandparents in our community. I’m sure the day saw many recipe requests being made.
Thank you to all those involved who helped in making the day what it was. We were fortunate to have such a magnificent spread and after speaking with the parents, grandparents and staff, no one left hungry.
