Afternoon Extended Program
In each of the 3 years making up Banksia’s Montessori Cycle 1, every effort is made to accommodate children from families who have different working arrangements.
Pre-kindergarten children in their first year of Cycle 1, may attend school for either 5 half days or 3 full days. These 3 full days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during school terms.
Kindergarten children in their second year of Cycle 1, attend school for 3 half days and 2 full days (Tuesday and Thursday) and they may attend school for an additional half day during school terms, on a Wednesday afternoon (there is an additional cost for this). This additional session is catered for by an educator in the little classroom attached to the Administration building.
Pre-primary children are obliged to attend school for 5 full days a week during school terms.
The cost for the additional session/extended program can be obtained from the school’s Finance Officer.
